ADC Spreebogen – diagnostic center
The ADC Berlin (eye diagnostic center in Berlin) features a variety of modern equipment. This ensures the effective treatment of your eyes and leads to efficient and substantial healing.
Frequency Doubling Technology (FDT)
Compared to the conventional visual field examination in Frequenz Doubling Perimetry (FDT-perimetry), disease process or damage to the optic nerve will be detected even before significant changes of vision occur. The test takes only minutes and is an important addition in the glaucoma screening examination.
Heidelberg Retina Tomograph III (HRT III)
HRT is a measurement of the three-dimensional shape of the optic nerve and for the quantification of temporal changes of this form. The most important clinical application of the Heidelberg Tomograph III is the diagnosis and monitoring of glaucomatous damage to the optic nerve.
Optical Coherence Pachymetry (OCP)
OCP is a non-contact measurement of corneal thickness using a diagnostic-laser. Pachymetry is used as additional important information in the diagnosis of glaucoma, because the measurement of cornea thickness has direct influence on the assessment of intraocular pressure (IOP).
Optical Coherence Tomography (OCT)
OCT is used to generate axial section and three-dimensional images, as well as measurement of posterior eye structures, including retina, retinal nerve fiber layer, macular and optic disc. The non-contact measurement is used as a complementary diagnostic tool for the detection and treatment of glaucoma and retinal changes.
